About This Community
The serene location of Twin Brooks is bordered almost entirely by some of Edmonton’s most beautiful river valley, only accessible by 111 Street at its east, and partially by 119 Street at its west, making it one of the most private neighbourhoods on Edmonton’s southwest end. Blackmud Creek runs at a diagonal along its eastern side, and Whitemud Creek runs along it’s western edge, giving the neighbourhood its name: Twin Brooks.

Surrounding 111 Street within the community of Twin Brooks are several businesses including, Tim Hortons, an ESSO Gas Station, Awake Coffee House, and Twin Brooks Pharmacy.
Heading north for a few minutes along 111 Street is Century Park. Located along 111 Street from Twin Brooks are the Kinsman Twin Arenas and the William Lutsky Family YMCA, which is complete with full gym, pool, summer camps, and programs.
The Blackmud Creek Ravine and Whitemud Creek Ravine border Twin Brooks, and residents will find several serene nature trails for hiking, biking, or just walking the dog. MacTaggart Sanctuary Trail Loop is a large and unspoiled nature trail winding along the centre of Whitemud Creek Ravine, a perfect spot for animal and bird watching! Many of these trails are accessible within walking distance of the community.
A private lake is tucked into the community of Twin Brooks and many of the residents of this southwest Edmonton community back onto it. Along with the lake is a large sports field where George P. Nicholson School is located. There is also a large outdoor skating rink in Twin Brooks.
Twin Brooks gives its residents access to a community garden! This is a beautiful spot to plant something. This community garden run by the Twin Brooks Community League.

The Anthony Henday borders the community of Twin Brooks to the south, and is easily accessible by 111 St NW, which is located at the eastern end of the neighbourhood. Calgary Trail/Gateway Boulevard is also accessible within minutes by the Anthony Henday.
Residents of Twin Brooks will enjoy the convenience of living so close to the Century Park LRT and Transit Centre. There are also very established and efficient bus routs in the area that can bring residents of this lovely southwest Edmonton community to the transit centre.
