Riverbend can be found in Southwest Edmonton, just off the 53rd Avenue exit of Whitemud Drive. The community extends down Terwillegar Drive and ends when you reach the Anthony Henday. It is bordered by the North Saskatchewan River along its western side, providing breathtaking sunset views.

Riverbend is also home to many services as well. This includes the Edmonton Public LibraryRegistryMedicentre, and Dynalife DX Diagnostic Centre, all located in Riverbend Square Shopping Centre. There are also two Veterinary Clinics as well.

Transportation in Riverbend

The community of Riverbend is conveniently located close to many of Edmonton’s major roadways, making commuting a breeze, whether it be in the area or making the short trip to the city. Riverbend is located just off of Whitemud Drive and Terwillegar Drive, and running right through its center is Rabbit Hill Road. The community is a couple of minutes away from the Anthony Henday and a just short commute to Calgary Trail, making Riverbend a fantastic location no matter where your daily commute might take you. Commuting via public transportation isn’t a problem either. With both the South Campus and Southgate LRT stations a quick bus ride away—as well as several major bus routes running through the area—public transportation in this neighborhood is extremely convenient and efficient.
