About Sweet Grass
Sweet Grass is a beautiful and mature community located in Southwest Edmonton, AB. The community boarders 34 Avenue to the North, Saddleback Road to the South, 119 Street to the West and 111 Street to the East. The area is rich with amenities, good schools and has fantastic public transportation. Sweet Grass is also located close to many major roadways making commuting very easy. The community was named after Cree Chief Sweet Grass, who was one of the early west's first conservationists.

About This Community
The neighbourhood of Sweet Grass was developed during the 1970’s and early 1980’s and has a good range of housing options whether you are interested in row-homes, duplexes, single-family homes, or condos. The community is named in honour of Cree Chief Sweet Grass, “who was one of the early west’s first conservationist and instrumental in the protection of the Plains Bison.”

A five-minute drive west along 23rd Ave NW from the neighbourhood of Sweet Grass is the Terwillegar Recreation Centre. This brand new facility has several ice-rinks, an enormous workout area, a large swimming centre, and several fast-food restaurants.

The neighbourhood of Sweet Grass is bordered to the east by 111 ST NW, which will take residents to either Anthony Henday or Whitemud Drive. Whitemud Drive can also be accessed from 119 St NW, which borders the western edge of the community.
Sweet Grass is also a walkable distance to Century Park LRT and Transit Centre. It is also just a few moments drive where residents can take advantage of the transit centre’s Park & Ride. There are also very established and efficient bus routs in the area that can bring residents of Sweet Grass to the transit centre.
