It is also only a short drive up Rabbit Hill Road to the Terwillegar Park, an enormous off-leash dog park along the banks of the North Saskatchewan. Terwillegar has beautiful trails for walking or biking.

Nearby is the Terwillegar Recreation Centre. This brand new facility has several ice-rinks, an enormous workout area, a large swimming centre, and several fast-food restaurants.
