A quick five-minute drive along either Rabbit Hill Road at its east, or Terwillegar Drive (170th Street SW) at its west, residents of Glenridding have convenient access to Currents of Windermere. This huge shopping district offers a variety of big chain stores such as Wal-Mart, London Drugs, Canadian Tire, Cabela’s, Home Depot, Wine and Beyond, Winners and HomeSense to name just a few. It also contains many amenities like massage, dental and doctor’s offices, medical imaging, hair and nail salons, banking, as well as a conveniently located Safeway. For a night-out, Currents of Windermere gives the surrounding communities prime access to Cineplex Odeon Windermere Cinemas and VIP where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer while watching the latest blockbuster in spacious seating, along with many dining options such as, Brown’s Socialhouse, Chilli’s Texas Grill, Boston Pizza, Montana’s Cookhouse, Red Robins, and (soon-to-come) Milestones and The Keg. For quick dining there is a large variety of take-out, drive-through, and dine-in options, including but not limited to: MacDonalds, Tim Hortons, Quiznos, Starbucks, Coras, and Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Located on the opposite side of Terwillegar Drive (170th Street SW) from the Currents of Windermere is Windermere Crossing. This smaller shopping hub includes a Superstore, a tailors, a nail salon, Starbucks, a liquor store, several banks, as well as dining options like: Teriyaki Corner, Subway, Chopped Leaf, Dairy Queen, Panago Pizza, and State and Main. This is another commercial centre within the community that is continuing to grow, with new businesses being added often.

Across from the community of Glenridding is a new little commercial centre just along its bordering Ellerslie Road. This commercial spot is just developing, but it has already produced a Circle K convenient store, Esso Gas Station, Mary Brown’s, and Ambleside Dental.
Recreation/Community League/Services
Being situated just along the edge of the Heritage Valley Area, Glenridding has an abundance of natural beauty. Several walking trails and a large new playground allow Glenridding residents to truly enjoy their lovely neighbourhood. Just a ten-minute drive down Terwillegar Drive (170th Street SW), residents of Glenridding will have access to Terwillegar Recreation Centre. This premier facility has several ice-rinks, an enormous workout area, a large swimming centre, and several fast-food restaurants.

Right beside the community of Glenridding is the neighbouring Jagar Ridge Golf Club. This beautiful golf course is nestled in the serene rolling hills of the Whitemud Creek Valley. It is both a public and private course.
Glenridding is under the umbrella of Greater Windermere Community League that also includes: Windermere, Langdale, Ambleside, West Pointe, Keswick, and Westpoint Estates. The community league hosts many events and activities in the area.

Transportation
The community of Glenridding has excellent commuting access whether by car or bus. The Anthony Henday is just a quick drive up Rabbit Hill Road, Terwillegar Drive (170th Street SW) is along its west, and Ellerslie Road borders it to the north. Several major bus routes take residents of Glenridding to the nearby Leger Transit Centre, located just steps from Terwillegar Recreation Centre.
