How COVID-19 Helped Create a Surge in the Edmonton Real Estate Market                     

Starting in June 2020 and accelerating through July and August, the Edmonton Real Estate market saw an increase in sales activity since this time last year. Actually, we haven’t seen sales this high in the month of August in the greater Edmonton since the boom in 2006. So, what gives? We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, Alberta’s economy (and Canada’s economy for that matter) feels totally uncertain and the government policy changes and spending seem astronomical. Should you do a home inspection on a brand-new home?

This is a question I hear literally every time I sell a new construction property. "Since this house is brand new and covered under Alberta New Home Warranty, do I really need to do a home inspection?
