If you’re buying a home in Southwest Edmonton, one of the biggest decisions you may have to make is whether to buy brand new or choose an established resale home.

At first glance, new construction has an obvious appeal. Everything is new. The floor plans are modern. The finishes are current. You have warranty protection and, depending on the builder and stage of construction, you may even get to choose some of the finishes yourself.

But resale homes offer something new construction often cannot: an established location.

Mature trees. Finished streets. Existing schools. Shopping that is already open. Parks that are already built. And in many cases, the ability to live inside Anthony Henday Drive rather than continuing farther south.
