This large area is rich with amenities, in-demand schools of all levels, and the LRT line that stretches right down the centre of 111th Street. Kaskitayo is centrally located which provides access to anything you could need, including many great areas for shopping and restaurants, which is one of the many draws for this community. You’re right next to Calgary Trail where you will find many shopping areas and restaurants, and quick access to the bustling retail outlets of South Edmonton Common. You are also within a short commute to Whyte Avenue, home to many boutique stores and some of the best restaurants and nightlife Edmonton has to offer. Southgate Mall is also right in the area.


Recreation/Community League/Services

Kaskitayo is made up of several communities, all with their own community league. You can find out exactly what community league belongs to your preferred community at the City of Edmonton website or by calling 311. There are many parks and playgrounds throughout each of the communities for the kids, and access to many areas of our city’s beautiful ravine and trail systems.

Located with the area is the Derrick Golf and Winter club, a private membership club with its own golf course. The YMCA is located just South of 23rd Avenue on 111 Street, along with many other private membership facilities that can be found within a short commute from the area.




Kaskitayo is perfectly located for commuting. Whether by public transit, or driving, you can get just about anywhere in the city with ease thanks to its close proximity to major transportation routes such as, Anthony Henday, Whitemud Drive, 23rd Avenue, 111th Street, Calgary Trail, and Gateway Boulevard. The community is highly prized for its access to Southgate and Century Park LRT stations, as we all its fully integrated and established public transit system. The LRT line running down 111 Street makes commuting downtown or to the UofA a breeze!
